Tattoo aftercare

Any skin injury carries the risk of infection until the body can form a protective skin over the injury again. In order to support the body, please note the following important points: Please remove the protective film after 2-3 hours and wash the tattoo with clear water (i.e. without additives such as soap etc.).
Then apply a thin layer of Tattoo Balm (Dragon Blood) to the tattoo.

What does consistent mean?

Since every skin type is individually different, no precise information can be given about how often you should apply cream to your tattoo. That means, depending on the skin type (dry to oily skin) about 6 times a day, if the skin is not covered by clothing.

If the skin is covered by clothing, foil must be worn, which must be changed every 3 hours.

What does thin cream mean?

If the cream is not applied enough, the skin dries out and tears. This can lead to loss of color and also result in scarring. If the cream is applied too thickly, the skin swells, which also leads to a loss of color. This delays healing and of course increases the risk of infection.

How long do I have to apply cream?

10 days

Water?

Unfortunately there is still a rumor that you are not allowed to shower with a new tattoo. Please don't do that to your fellow human beings! You can of course take a shower, just make sure to use pH-neutral and / or fragrance-free soap. Only a long full bath (ie longer than 15 minutes) is not advisable (softening the skin).

Sunbathing?

Another prejudice! Of course you don't have to lead a shadowy existence from now on. The fresh tattoo should just not be "fried" excessively. That means, when sunbathing, simply cover it with a small towel as soon as it gets too much.

If you have any problems or questions regarding your tattoo, please contact us at any time.

We can be reached Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. We are always there for you to check your tattoos.

Pretreatment

Pretreatment

Please pay attention to personal hygiene before the tattoo. (Bring deodorant) Shave the area and do not apply cream, do not use moisturizing soaps. Use deodorant and bring it with you, but do not use deodorant with white powder.

Bring a large towel. No coffee, no Red Bull, no aspirin, no vitamin C.

Pain Free Tattoo?

There is an ointment that can be applied 2 hours before the tattoo. (Test tolerance beforehand)

This must act airtight under the cling film. This ointment numbs the skin for a limited time, it can be used on particularly sensitive areas.

Just ask us about the ointment.
